Iran-US-Israel War Live Highlights: US President Donald Trump claims Iran agreed to never develop a nuclear weapon and signals easing tensions over the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran-US-Israel War Highlights: US President Donald Trump on Tuesday said Iran has agreed it will never develop a nuclear weapon, as he confirmed that negotiations between Washington and Tehran to end ongoing hostilities are actively underway.
“Iran has agreed they will never have a nuclear weapon,” Trump told reporters, describing the assurance as a potential breakthrough even as discussions continue.
Trump also pointed to what he described as a significant energy-related concession by Iran, though he did not provide specifics. He suggested the development was linked to the strategic Strait of Hormuz, a critical oil shipping corridor.
“They gave us a present… a very big present, worth a tremendous amount of money,” Trump said at the Oval Office, adding that the gesture was related to oil and gas rather than nuclear issues. “It was a very nice thing they did.”
Separately, Iran indicated that foreign vessels would be allowed to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, provided they do not support hostile actions against the country and comply with regulations set by Tehran.
In a letter circulated to members of the International Maritime Organization, Iran said safe passage could be ensured “in coordination with the competent Iranian authorities,” signalling a possible easing of tensions around one of the world’s most vital energy transit routes.
