As fans eagerly await the second season of the gay hockey romance phenomenon Heated Rivalry, Prime Video’s Off Campus is here to tide them over, offering another take on the burgeoning hockey romance genre.
The streamer is apparently so happy with how the first season of the campus-set series turned out that they’ve already given a green light to season two, a huge endorsement that’s making us very optimistic. With The Summer I Turned Pretty and Tell Me Lies both winding down within the past year (TSITP movie can’t come soon enough) and XO, Kitty about to say goodbye, we need more high school/college drama, stat.

What is Off Campus about?
Here’s the synopsis, per a press release: “Off Campus follows an elite ice hockey team, and the women in their lives, as they grapple with love, heartbreak, and self-discovery—forging deep friendships and enduring bonds while navigating the complexities that come with transitioning into adulthood. Season one follows the sexy and fun ‘opposites attract’ romance between quiet songwriter, Hannah, and Briar University’s all-star hockey athlete, Garrett.”

Who is in the cast?
Belmont Cameli and Ella Bright lead the series as the central lovers, while Steve Howey (Reba), Mika Abdalla (The Pitt), Stephen Kalyn (Gen V), Jalyn Thomas Brooks (The Pitt), Josh Heuston (Dune: Prophecy), Antonio Cipriano (Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin), Khobe Clarke (Yellowjackets) and Chad Willett (Big Sky) round out the rest of the main cast.
The series was created by Louisa Levy (Death & Other Details) from the book series by Elle Kennedy.
