I’m the youngest of four girls, so, you best believe I have some unhinged sister stories. One of my favourites is from when my oldest sister came out of the bathroom one day and accused me of not flushing the toilet. I was in kindergarten at the time and was really getting good at remembering to flush. After arguing with her for a while and insisting that I swore I had flushed and that “it wasn’t me,” she looked me dead in the eye and said, “I know it was you!” Then what she said next would mess with me for a few weeks.

Without blinking, she simply said, “I know it’s you, ’cause everyone in a family has a different colour of pee…and yours is yellow!” I was shocked and, obviously, believed her immediately. Well, for a few weeks, until I went to my friends at school and embarrassingly asked them what colour their pee was in their family. And when they said yellow, I was like, “So cool! Me too! What are the odds?!” Yeah…my sister got in trouble after I came home crying.
