Harriet Sperling, Fiancé of Queen Elizabeth’s Grandson, Is a New Royal Style Icon

St. Clair is the brand launched a handful of years ago by Blaire Donald, a designer with years of experience in the fashion industry who, after becoming a mother, decided to strike out on her own. She creates romantic-looking luxury garments made out of certified organic cotton that comes from a single family-owned business in New Delhi.

Wiggy Hindmarch—a designer who also serves as an ambassador for Women Supporting Women, part of the Prince’s Trust (now the King’s Trust)—founded Wiggy Kit in 2015. The brand aims to support young women in work, education, and business.

Sperling dresses in a way similar to Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle, in which the ethos dress with purpose trumps dress to impress. The style choices of the royal bride-to-be show a certain self-consciousness that elevates classic dressing with additional meaning. Both the British pride that the Princess of Wales demonstrates through her style and the values important to the Duchess of Sussex are at play in Sperling’s fashion.

At this point, there’s only one question: What will Sperling wear to wed the late Queen Elizabeth’s eldest grandchild? One thing we know is that white is a color she’s already familiar with, and not only because this is her second wedding (she was previously married to fitness instructor Antonio St. John Sperling, with whom she shares a child). Sperling also wore a white ME+EM dress for the engagement announcement published in Hello! magazine. Shining in those shots was the ring that Phillips commissioned from Mayfair jeweler Pragnell—a trilogy with a large center diamond and two smaller side diamonds.

What we can glean from the leaked announcement is that the private ceremony will take place on June 6 in a small country church in the village of Kemble, not far from the Gloucestershire town of Cirencester. But how royal will this wedding be? Tiara or no tiara? Train and veil? Or perhaps an ensemble without too many frills? Whatever Sperling wears, if her current style is any indication, we’re pretty sure she won’t disappoint.
