MVP MMA’s debut on Netflix was received extremely well by the fans, as they reveal the viewership figures.

This past Saturday, MVP MMA hosted their inaugural event which broadcasted live on Netflix, with Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano headlining what was a three-fight headliner.

Despite having been out of action for over 10 years, Rousey put on a vintage performance, submitting Carano after just 17 seconds with her infamous armbar.

And now just a matter of days removed from the historic event, Most Valuable Promotions have revealed the whopping viewership figures that the event drew in.

Rousey vs Carano peaked at 17 million viewers

Throughout the entire lead up to the event, ‘Rowdy’ Ronda made it clear that she wanted to build MVP MMA to be able to compete with the UFC.

And throughout the lead up, the 39-year-old continuously went in on the UFC for their practices, criticizing several things including fighter pay.

Now just days removed from the first ever MMA event on Netflix, MVP have released the viewership figures, claiming that the event peaked at almost 17 million viewers, making it one of the most-watched MMA events of all time.

As well as that, in the press release, the promotion revealed that the main event peaked at 11.6 million viewers, making it the most-watched MMA main event in the United States ever, with the event averaging 9.3 million viewers.

“MVP’s first entry into MMA delivered on a massive global scale and exceeded every expectation we had for the launch of this new chapter of our business,” Nakisa Bidarian and Jake Paul stated.

“We’ve received an overwhelming amount of interest from investors, strategic partners, and fighters who want to be involved with MVP and the future of MVP MMA. We are currently reviewing all strategic options to do something very meaningful within MMA on a go-forward basis with a distribution partner like Netflix that shares our vision to create lasting impact.”
