Josh Hokit was asked by a fan to choke him unconscious – and the top heavyweight contender duly obliged.
On November 14, Hokit is set to take on Ciryl Gane at UFC 334 for the newly-vacated undisputed title almost a year to the day after making his promotional debut. In that time, he has impressed with a perfect record inside the octagon while making his name with wacky antics outside of it.

Today was no different as he appeared at a convention where he met with fans, one of whom had a particularly strange and dangerous request. Of course, Hokit couldn’t resist the idea and ended up putting the untrained man out cold.

During an event for Paramount Peptide Solutions today, UFC heavyweight contender Josh Hokit took part in a meet-and-greet with fans. He posed for photos and signed autographs, but at one point was given a particularly strange and dangerous request.
A fan wanted him to choke him out entirely until he went to sleep. Hokit obliged, locking in a standing choke and holding on to the man until he went limp and began to convulse. Luckily, he managed to wake up quickly and seemed unfazed and almost happy at having gone through the experience.
Hokit joked that someone else in the crowd was “next”, before asking if the man was okay and showing relief when the response was an enthusiastic ‘yeah’.
