The confident Irishman looked to be playing some mind games with his opponent in their final face-off, just to remind him of what’s at stake on Saturday night.
Dana White’s angle of the encounter that he posted on social media showed exactly what was said between the two men, with Machado Garry kicking things off.
“You ready? This is it brother,” he said. “Everything’s on the line. All the records, everything. You ready? Let’s go. The biggest fight.”
Makhachev disputed that this is the biggest fight, which only led to more responses from Machado Garry.
“It is, you know it is… Everything you did is on the line. Everything to lose, everything to gain. Let’s go brother.”

The welterweight title being on the line isn’t the only thing hanging over the main event of UFC 330.
If Islam Makhachev wins, he’ll surpass Anderson Silva to hold the longest winning streak in the history of the promotion.
While the Russian has the right people around him to keep all attention on the task at hand, Makhachev has said he wants to keep winning so that no one will be able to break his record.
His retirement plans could still change, but for the time being, the champion clearly isn’t stepping away anytime soon.
