Gamdom sends open offer to UFC fighters

On Tuesday, online crypto casino Gamdom published an open letter to the entire UFC roster.

The company, owned by German entrepreneur Felix Romer, is ready to sponsor fighters to the tune of $10,000 per month, which is the minimum amount someone could make in a UFC bout.

“An offer to every fighter on the UFC roster,” the letter posted to X began. “Gamdom is offering every athlete on the UFC roster a sponsorship deal worth US$10,000 per month, per fighter.

“We believe fighters deserve greater financial support for the dedication, sacrifice and commitment it takes to compete at the highest level. We want to contribute directly by providing additional income to support their training, their families and their futures.

“This offer extends to the entire roster, from athletes making their UFC debut to established champions.

“Our offer is straightforward: $10,000 a month to each fighter who joins Gamdom through this initiative. We welcome conversations with fighters and their representatives across the roster.

“An independent Gamdom initiative. Sponsorships are subject to agreed terms, applicable requirements and existing contractual obligations.”

Getting punched in the face for a living should come with a guaranteed bag.

Felix Romer: ‘This is not an attack on the UFC’

Felix Romer added a comment on the initiative he insists is all about helping fighters financially.

The Gamdom founder made it clear his sponsorship offer is in no way an attack on the UFC.

“I understand the economics of the UFC and respect the investment, risk and work involved in building the organisation into what it is today,” Romer said.

“I want to be absolutely clear: this initiative is in no way an attack on the UFC or a negative reflection on its business. I have enormous respect for the platform it has created and the opportunities it provides.

“We see an opportunity for Gamdom to contribute. We believe in these athletes, and we want to back that belief with meaningful financial support.”
