Darren Till open to UFC return against Paddy Pimblett despite ongoing criticism of Dana White

Darren Till is still considering a return to MMA, and he hopes the door is still open to the UFC.

After five losses in six fights, Darren Till exited the UFC back in 2022 in an attempt to get his combat sports career back on track.

Since then, ‘The Gorilla’ has done a good job at that, winning all four of his fights since then, including a terrific boxing KO over Luke Rockhold and a BKFC debut against a reality TV star.

The controversial scouser is in the midst of his fight camp, preparing for another BKFC outing where he will take on Yoel Romero.

Till open to UFC return as he highlights Paddy Pimblett as potential opponent

Despite the shocking end to his UFC run, the 33-year-old is still a big draw in combat sports and his clash against Romero is on track to BKFC ticket sale records.

And although he has found a lot of success since leaving the premier MMA promotion, the former UFC welterweight title challenger has consistently admitted that he would like to return to the UFC someday.

However, since his exit from the promotion, the candid Englishman has been extremely open with his thoughts and opinions on UFC boss, Dana White, saying that his ‘out of control ego’ is killing the UFC.

Now, though, the 33-year-old has once again admitted that he would be open to returning to the UFC, saying that he hopes he hasn’t burnt his bridges with White.

“I’m still pondering about whether to go back to MMA,” Till said on the stomping ground podcast.

“I’m 33 years young I haven’t taken a lot of punishment in terms of head trauma, I could definitely do it and I’m making enough money now to be like, I’m taking a year off to go to Russia or Brazil… And be like let’s make one more crack at it.

“That’s if they would have me back though because I’ve been slating them recently,” he continued.

‘The Gorilla’ went on to reveal that he would be open to a huge fight against fellow Scouser, Paddy Pimblett, who recently scored a huge bounce back win at UFC 329.

“Yeah, me vs Paddy at Anfield, it’s always been spoken about and Paddy is on such a trajectory now, imagine I slip back in and say, ‘Come on Paddy, let’s do this together’,” Till said.

Of course, the biggest stumbling block with that fight would be that the two stars fight at two different weight classes.

Till finished his UFC career at 185lbs after struggling to make 170lbs at the latter end of his tenure, whereas Pimblett is a 155lber.

Having said that, ‘The Baddy’s’ sheer love for food is well-documented, and he has to cut 54lbs to make lightweight, making a welterweight move potentially desirable.
