The Cowboys have had a tough time stopping the run. It gets no easier with Lamar Jackson this week.
Struggling may not be the best way to describe what is going on with the front of Christian Parker’s defense, but the results certainly haven’t been great in the early going, as the pass rush has failed to get quarterbacks on the ground or contain them from scrambling. It has been a sizeable issue.
With the Baltimore Ravens on the docket, that job won’t get any easier, as Lamar Jackson has been a transcendent player at the quarterback position in terms of his mobility. Jackson may not see it this way, but this is a daunting challenge for Dallas’ pass rush.
Aside from playing the Baltimore Ravens, a tough opponent, much has been made of the Cowboys travel arrangement to Brazil.
On Saturday, the Dallas Cowboys traveled to Maracanã Stadium in Brazil for a team walk-around ahead of their Week 3 game against the Baltimore Ravens.
Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer, his team, and the Cowboys staff spent around half an hour taking in the atmosphere and getting a feel for the field, which has been a big discussion over the course of the week.
“It’s all a part of the process,” Schottenheimer said Friday. “It’s not my first time playing internationally, and I have no doubts that the field will be in great shape. They’re working tirelessly to make sure it is. And we have other plans if need be, but our guys will be ready.”
For Dallas to get the win, they’re going to have to get George Pickens going.

After an exciting and inspiring summer in training camp, George Pickens has had a relatively quiet start to the 2026 season. It’s a situation that must be remedied this week. Baltimore doesn’t move their defensive backs around much so the Cowboys should be able to engineer matchups. By moving Pickens away from Marlon Humphrey at right cornerback, and away from Kyle Hamiliton in the slot, they will avoid the Ravens best coverage men.

If the Dallas wins, how does that impact their hopes for the playoffs?
Dallas’s Week 2 matchup was a “must-win” if you look at the history of 0–2 teams making the playoffs, but the history shows a massive difference between 2-1 and falling to 1-2 as well. I’ll get into the stats specifically, but they are pretty jarring. For the Cowboys, however, that record difference has been even more notable; let’s get into what it looks like.
The Cowboys made a roster adjustment and will be without of their core secondary players for a some time.

The Pick: Dak Prescott OVER 12.5 rushing yards (-114)
It seems likely that Dallas will struggle to slow down Baltimore’s pass rush on Sunday. Dak Prescott may be on the run quite a bit on Sunday, making it a good bet to take his over in rushing yards. Dak has surpassed 12 rush yards in the last four full games he has played in and it’s a good bet to think he’ll do it again in Brazil.
