Arman Tsarukyan includes Khabib Nurmagomedov in his top 5 MMA fighters of all time

Arman Tsarukyan has revealed who is in his top five of the greatest fighters of all time.

The argument regarding who is the greatest MMA fighter of all time is one that continues to divide opinion amongst fans and fighters.

UFC boss Dana White has always remained pretty firm with his judgement that Jon Jones is the greatest fighter to ever live.

Despite that, not everyone places ‘Bones’ at the top of their list because of his failed drug tests in the past.

Arman Tsarukyan reveals his top 5 MMA fighters of all time

One of the current best fighters in the sport, Arman Tsarukyan, may be hoping to one day make his way on the list of fans arguing their greatest fighters of all time.

But ahead of that possibility, the Armenian has revealed who he has on his top five list of MMA GOAT’s, crediting Jon Jones as the greatest.

“Jon Jones is number one because he’s the best MMA fighter,” Tsarukyan told Yavuz Fighthunterz.

“Georges St-Pierre, Demetrious Johnson, Anderson Silva and Khabib Nurmagomedov,” he continued his top 5.

The 29-year-old went on to explain why Khabib Nurmagomedov can’t come any higher in the list despite some fans thinking he is the greatest ever.

“Jon Jones defended (his title) like 13 times and Khabib maybe has 13 fights in the UFC.”

Despite his history with Islam Makhachev, Tsarukyan went on to credit the former lightweight champion as the greatest lightweight fighter of all time, placing him above Khabib.

“Islam (is the lightweight GOAT). He did more in the lightweight division than Khabib. He just didn’t have good fights in the lightweight division that made him a star like Khabib, like Conor (McGregor) vs Khabib. I think if Ilia (Topuria) was the champion, Ilia vs Islam would’ve been a big fight,” Tsarukyan continued.

Fans are still eagerly awaiting the continuation of Tsarukyan’s career in the premier promotion as he hasn’t fought since last November when he dominated Dan Hooker.

The 29-year-old is set to return this coming September when he takes on Charles Oliveira at UFC 331 in a rematch of their UFC 300 split decision fight which Tsarukyan won.
