XRP sees $14.2M liquidation flush – Could leverage reset fuel price recovery?

XRP’s recent volatility has flushed leverage from both sides, leaving a cleaner market without a matching rise in exchange supply. XRP Open Interest fell 14% from $558 million to $478 million as of writing, while leverage eased from 0.203 to 0.182.

That reset followed $14.2 million in two-way liquidations within 48 hours. It’s worth noting that neither side of the market escaped the shakeout.

Meanwhile, Funding Rates then slipped to -0.002. That decline ended a fourteen-positive-session streak, signaling traders have stopped aggressively chasing longs.

Yet despite that setback, Binance reserves remained flat near 2.6176 billion XRP, while deposit addresses plunged 91%. This means leverage cooled without holders rushing coins toward Binance.

Such a combination favors base-building as funding stabilizes, while rising reserves would instead signal renewed selling pressure.

While leverage cools around XRP, capital is expanding rapidly inside the XRP Ledger, strengthening the network’s underlying activity. Recorded asset value climbed from $99 million in Q1 2025 to $4.26 billion by Q2 2026.

RWAs anchor XRPL as RLUSD drives liquidity

Tokenized assets and stablecoins are also developing differently, revealing how XRPL’s expanding capital is actually being used. The majority of Real-World Assets (RWAs) have been represented by registry-style instruments.

This structure points toward institutional representation and custody rather than assets circulating freely between users. RLUSD shows the opposite dynamic, with transferred value surging 925% year-over-year as holders and trust-line openings also increased.

Simply, this suggests that stablecoins are supporting the growth of XRPL’s transactional capabilities, even though overall account activity continues to slow.

Therefore, a continued growth trend regarding RWA may help to establish institutional value on the network.

Ultimately, increasing numbers of stablecoin transfers may lead to deeper liquidity, greater settlement activity, and everyday capital movement.

Final Summary

  • Ripple XRP leverage resets as stable Binance reserves ease immediate selling pressure.
  • XRPL’s $4.26 billion asset base shows RWAs and RLUSD driving broader network utility.
