On Monday, Jim Cramer issued a strong buy recommendation for CrowdStrike (CRWD) following a detailed post from CEO George Kurtz addressing the current landscape of AI-powered cybersecurity.

CrowdStrike shares advanced 3.86% during after-hours trading, moving to $214.72. The cybersecurity company had finished Friday’s session at $206.74.

On X, Cramer amplified Kurtz’s message, declaring it “the most important post you will read on this MUST BUY stock.”

Kurtz’s statement came as a response to Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei’s call for AI development labs to reduce the velocity of frontier AI innovation. OpenAI’s Sam Altman voiced support for Amodei’s position, joined by multiple prominent figures in the AI sector.

However, Kurtz challenged the notion that deceleration would enhance security. He maintained that frontier technology will advance at its own momentum, and the cybersecurity sector must ensure that progression happens with proper safeguards.

“Pacing what comes next doesn’t secure what’s already here,” Kurtz stated in his post.

Understanding the Agent-State Phenomenon

According to Kurtz, the cybersecurity landscape has undergone a fundamental transformation. AI technology now provides every criminal actor and individual threat with what he described as “elite execution” capabilities. Modern attacks are no longer executed by single operators but through synchronized AI-driven agents conducting complete campaigns with minimal human oversight.

“The unit of threat is no longer the hacker. It’s an autonomous campaign. I call it the Agent-state,” Kurtz explained.

To counter this emerging threat model, Kurtz advocates treating each AI agent as a privileged identity requiring rigorous permissions, time-limited credentials, and emergency shutdown capabilities. He emphasized that critical decision-making authority must stay with human operators.

Kurtz also acknowledged that both Anthropic and OpenAI have pledged to integrate independent security evaluators with full employee access into their infrastructure. He confirmed that CrowdStrike plans to contribute its real-world threat intelligence to these collaborative efforts.

The SafeMind Platform and Nvidia Collaboration

CrowdStrike and Nvidia jointly introduced SafeMind on September 1, an agentic defense architecture designed for continuous improvement. Kurtz characterized the system as one that evolves with each threat it successfully neutralizes.

During recent client conversations, Kurtz revealed that agentic threats are a universal concern among CrowdStrike’s customer base, indicating rising demand for advanced defensive solutions.

While the stock experienced a positive move in extended trading, CRWD has experienced roughly a 6% pullback over the previous month following a peak in late August. That high point followed the company’s announcement of record quarterly performance, which accelerated security budget discussions among enterprise customers.

On a year-to-date basis, CrowdStrike has gained 74.46%, and has climbed over 85% across the trailing twelve months. The stock maintains a Momentum rating in the 96th percentile alongside a Growth rating in the 97th percentile.

Cramer clarified that his overall market outlook remains cautious, drawing parallels to 2018 conditions and recommending that investors lock in gains on strong performers rather than engage in panic selling. He identified cybersecurity as a core investment theme for 2026 during an August discussion.

As of Monday morning, CrowdStrike was trading at $214.72 in extended-hours activity.
