When you’re “down bad” or intensely infatuated with someone, it’s wild how much your dignity quickly goes out the door. And even though our friends will often call it out, we don’t often realize how pathetic we were being while we were “in love” until we’re well out of it.
It’s an embarrassing experience that is actually so human, and kind of funny in retrospect. So, I want to hear from y’all: What’s the most embarrassing “down bad” moment you’ve ever had?
Were you so infatuated with a guy who treated you like crap and refused to acknowledge that you were his boyfriend that you started a GoFundMe for him to go to grad school?
Maybe you were in a relationship with the most toxic woman ever and all your friends tried to pull you out of it, but you were so “blinded by love” that you moved overseas with them, only to get dumped a few weeks later.
Or perhaps you had a secret crush on your classmate in high school that was so intense you felt it was a good idea to surprise them with an elaborate “prom-posal” in front of the entire school…only for them to leave you in the middle of the cafeteria looking like a fool.
However “down bad” you were, I want to hear about it. Drop your story in the comments or the anonymous form below. We’ve all been there, and the only way to heal from it is to talk about it and eventually laugh about it.
