Recap of chapter 278
Mikey tells Takemichi he will be lonely from this day onwards, referring to Takemichi’s marriage. Chifuyu panics as he thinks he’s late but feels relieved to make it in time. As soon as he meets Mikey and Draken, Draken complains to him about Mikey, who fumbled a race.
Chufyu is shocked to learn that a person like Mikey feels too. The event took place 11 years after the Tokyo Manji Gang disbanded. Mikey says that Takemichi looked stressed with the former peeked into his room. Mikey is a motor racer, and Draken is the mechanic of Mikey’s team.
The sponsors of Mikey are Coco and Kisaki, the president and Vice President of the TK & KO group, respectively. There are currently pissed off at Mikey as he caused the loss. Izana enters, saying that he relies on donations for everything.
He is the director of ‘Tenjiku,’ a none profit organization. He is busy traveling the world. Mochi, Izana, Mucho, and Kakucho volunteer for orphans.
The Haitani brothers run a club, and the Alashi siblings are current YouTube stars, with Takeomi as their self-proclaimed producer. Shinichiro runs SS motors with Inupi working by his side. Waka and Benkai run martial art and Gojo gym with Terano’s visits.
Taiju seems rich with many restaurants. Hakkai is a top model overseas, and Yuzuha is his manager. Mitsuya is a fashion designer, and the Kawata brothers run a ramen shop.
Akkun is a hairdresser, Takuya is a pharmacist, Yamagishi is a civil servant, Makoto takes over his family temple, and Naoto is a journalist. Emma and Draken are married and might be expecting, as Draken asks if she is okay.
Unexpectedly, Hanma is a freelance photographer. Chifuyu is the director of Peke J Land, with Baji and Kazutora as his employees.
Finally, Hinata and Takemichi get married. As the priest reads the vows, both bride and groom teared up. Chifuyu says that he knows Takemichi will never take this happiness for granted. It is revealed that Chifuyu remembers the timelines where Takemichi repeatedly failed, fighting frequently but never giving up.
Coming to the present, Hinata asks Takemichi to make her happy. The bride and the groom finally seal their marriage with a kiss, and Chifuyu cannot contain his tears.
