RPG Cast – Episode 702: “He Plays Flute Like Your Mom Plays SNES”

1. When I get back from the Christmas cruise, definitely playing Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince. But on the cruise, where I can’t verify my digital game without Wifi, going to bring my 3DS for more Dragon Quest Monsters 1: Terry’s Wonderland 3D.

2. I will begin by thanking the cast for another great year of podcasting. I need to work on commenting more often, but never miss an episode. Even Kelley’s blasphemy regarding Secret of Mana is not enough to ward me off from listening to the podcast. 🙂 Dating myself here…but I purchased my SNES 30 years ago to play that game and 30 years later it remains my favorite game of all time.

   All of that aside, I plan to use the Christmas break to revisit Mario RPG and finish Star Ocean 2 R. If time permits, I would love to try In Stars and Time as I have heard great things.

3. I know what I should play which is Octopath Traveler II, Mario Wonder, Advance Wars, that second run of FE: Engage I’ve been putting off, Sea of Stars…

   But I’ll end up having waking dreams about Pokemon games on my Steam Deck with catch-them-all and advanced difficulty mods.

4. In a show of support for Chris, I will continue plugging away at the main campaign in PoE. Also hope to complete Tales of Arise, will play but probably not complete Octopath II, and probably some Asteroids on the PS5 Atari 50 game.

5. For my break (until January 11), I hope to finish my Cold Steel 1 challenge playthrough (playing on Nightmare with only bringing over bonding points). Once that is done I will probably start Cold Steel 2 with the same challenge, Depending on how long those 2 take, the game I get for Chrismas will depend on how long those take.

6. Working in Medical, there is no real Winter Break. I am taking 12/17 and 12/18 off from work. I did Volunteer to work on 12/25 for 4 hours from 1800-2200. Be making some nice money with Holiday Pay and Shift Differential. I also already scheduled to work on New Years day as well.
