While FireRed and LeafGreen will be added to Pokémon Home

The Pokémon Company has announced that it will be ending service for the 3DS app Pokémon Bank on 27th February 2027.
So this means that the ability to transfer creatures from Pokémon Bank to Pokémon Home will cease from that date. The company has advised users to ensure that any Pokémon stored in Bank are transferred over to Home prior to the closure.
Pokémon Home, of course, will continue service, and it’s also been announced that Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen for the Switch eShop will be added in October. As expected, it’s been advised that any Pokémon transferred from the games to other entries won’t be able to come back, and you also can’t bring Pokémon from other games over to FireRed and LeafGreen.

In addition, as a little bonus, it’s been announced that if you manage to complete the Pokédex in FireRed and LeafGreen, you can claim Celebi in the mobile version of Pokémon Home.

Fans can also look forward to the launch of Pokémon Winds & Waves for the Switch 2 in 2027. Information is scarce at the moment, but we’re definitely keen to see more in the coming months.
Have you continued to use Pokémon Bank recently? Will you be claiming Celebi in Pokémon Home? Let us know with a comment.
