People Are Experiencing Secondhand Embarrassment Over This Awkward Video Of Chloe Kim Telling Pink That She Loves Her Song…Which Is Actually Kelly Clarkson’s Song
“The second hand embarrassment I had to exit out of the video 😭”
Olympic gold medalist Chloe Kim was left absolutely mortified when she told Pink that she loves her song “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You)” — not realizing that it is actually Kelly Clarkson’s song.
In case you missed it, Pink has stepped in to guest-host The Kelly Clarkson Show this week to celebrate Women’s History Month, and 25-year-old snowboarder Chloe was a guest on yesterday’s episode.
And during their conversation, Chloe wanted to tell Pink just how much she means to her, saying: “Can I make a confession? Growing up, when I was, like, 12, 13, I loved listening to your music when I was snowboarding.”
“Awh,” Pink replied, but when Chloe started singing: “What doesn’t kill you makes you…” Pink’s face fell as she quipped: “That’s Kelly Clarkson” before bursting into laughter.
Understandably, Chloe was immediately red-faced, saying: “Oh, I’m sorry, oh my god.” Pink assured her: “That’s fine because I’m Kelly Clarkson today,” in reference to the fact that she is hosting Kelly’s show; she then couldn’t control her laughter as she threw her head back to giggle over the mishap.
“Yeah, you are Kelly Clarkson today,” Chloe laughed, before trying to prove that she really is a Pink fan, saying: “Oh my god, no, ‘Fuckin’ Perfect!’ Wait, guys, I’m so embarrassed. I’m so sorry!”
But Pink was incredibly understanding, brushing it off and pulling Chloe in for a hug, telling her: “You’re good!”
A clip of the moment surfaced on X today, and perhaps unsurprisingly, has caused an immediate stir, with many left obsessed with Chloe’s awkward faux pas. Quote-tweeting the moment, one popular tweet jokes about the fact that Pink is hosting Kelly’s show, reading: “She had her preplanned bits and forgot to swap them out for the last-minute substitute 😭”
“She rehearsed that okay she came prepared and they changed the host 😭” somebody else echoed, and another wrote: “This is is 100% funnier cause she is on Kelly’s show…the attempt to save it by dropping a hit, I would have literally started listing deep cuts.”
