Former Migo Offset has made his first public statement after being shot at a casino in Florida earlier this week. “Thank you to everyone who’s checked in on me and showed me love,” he wrote in a statement on Instagram. “I’m good … but I’m planning to be better! I’m focused on my family, my recovery, and getting back to the music … realizing that life is made up of quiet wins and loud losses … Life’s a gamble and I’m still playing to win.” Again, we note that Offset was shot at a casino.

A spokesperson for the rapper told The Hollywood Reporter that he’s out of the hopsital and “up and walking.” The first images of Offset post-shooting depicted him using a mobility device in a hospital courtyard, wearing a surgical gown and smoking.

Rapper Lil Tjay, born Tione Jayden Merritt, was arrested in connection with the shooting. Merritt was only charged with disorderly conduct. This is the second shooting of a member of Migos. Takeoff was shot and killed in 2022 at a bowling alley in Houston.
