Plus, the MKW bundle returns

The first-party releases keep coming thick and fast for Switch 2, so it was only a matter of time before we heard about another console bundle.
That’s exactly what’s happened today, as Nintendo has announced that it’ll be offering a Switch 2 bundle with a digital code for Nintendo Switch Sports Resort and a three-month NSO membership for $529.99 (that’s a sweet $27.98 saving).
The bundle will be available alongside the game on 22nd October, one month after the Switch 2’s September price hike.
It won’t be the first bundle after the price increase, mind you, as Nintendo has also announced the return of the Mario Kart World bundle in “late September”. This one includes a digital copy of MKW and a three-month NSO membership for $549.99 (saving $37.98) — yep, it’s the same one we saw at launch, with the price increase included.
As a reminder, the launch Mario Kart bundle was priced at $499.99, a mere $50 extra from purchasing the console on its own. From 1st September, such a price will only get you the Switch 2 system, as the incoming price hikes come into effect.
Just last week, the Big N finally detailed the Switch 2 price hike specifics for the UK, revealing that the console will increase by £24 to £419.99 from 1st September.
It all makes us wonder how much the rumoured Zelda: Ocarina of Time special edition console will cost, should it become a reality. For the sake of our piggy banks, let’s hope it’s not too extreme…
