The official X account (formerly Twitter) of the Jishou Akuyaku Reijou na Konyakusha no Kansatsu Kiroku. (Observation Records of My Fiancée: The Misadventures of a Self-Proclaimed Villainess) television anime revealed four additional cast and the fourth character promo on Monday. The anime series adapting Shiki‘s comedy fantasy light novel will air on April 6 at 10:00 p.m. on Tokyo MX, followed by BS11 and Sun TV.

Junichi Yamamoto (Kanojo ga Koushaku-tei ni Itta Riyuu) is directing the anime at Ashi Productions. Akiko Inoue (Scarlet Nexus script) is handling the series composition and Miki Matsumoto (Satsuriku no Tenshi) is designing the characters.
Yuuki Hayashi (Boku no Hero Academia), Luke Standridge, and Asa Taylor are composing the music.
Shiki began writing the novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in 2016. AlphaPolis began publishing the novel under its Regina Books label with illustrations by Hachipisuwan in May 2017 and released the second volume in September 2017. Shiki began penning the Jishou Akuyaku Reijou na Tsuma no Kansatsu Kiroku. (An Observation Log of My Wife Who Calls Herself a Villainess) sequel light novel in April 2022. AlphaPolis published the fifth volume in June 2025.
Natsume Hasumi serialized a manga adaptation in Regina from May 2018 to August 2021. AlphaPolis published the sixth and final volume in October 2021. Hasumi began drawing a manga adaptation of the sequel light novel in the same magazine in March 2022, which has three volumes in print as of June 2025.
Hanashi Media licensed the light novel in English in April 2024 and shipped the second volume in February 2025. AlphaPolis began publishing the manga on its Alpha Manga platform in June 2023.
