CONGRATS, YOU SCORED a ticket to the US Open. Now you have to figure out what the hell to wear. The tournament gets bigger and scene-y-er every year, to the point that it’s basically becoming Coachella with tennis. And while there’s no official dress code, there are definitely ways to get it wrong.
Show up to an early-round afternoon match in a blazer and, unless you bought out a suite, you’ll look like a jerk. Wear gym shorts to the finals, and you might feel underdressed. The ladies will be showing up in their Sunday best, so you should dress accordingly. However, that doesn’t mean dropping a car payment on your fit.
