Pros
- Designed for all grooming, can also be used on head and body
- 10 attachments offer up to 40 length options
- Comes with compact hard shell case
- Sleek charging dock
- Longest lasting rechargeable battery on this list
Cons
- The extensive attachments make traveling with the full style kit difficult
I haven’t been shy about my love for this device, naming it the best overall beard trimmer—wet or dry—so there was little deliberation in placing it at the top of this list. But it’s not just that it’s the best-performing trimmer out there, which it is; this is also about how well it performs when wet. A lot of waterproof trimmers diminish in power and functionality when used in the shower.
Sure, you don’t have to worry about them malfunctioning or short-circuiting from water exposure, but they are nowhere near as effective when wet. The Series 9, on the other hand, has no drop-off in quality. It still glides through hair just as swiftly and precisely as when it’s dry. Plus, it’s built for true head-to-toe grooming with 10 attachments that offer up to 40 length options.
Its powerful motor easily handles dense and longer growth efficiently while minimizing pulling and tugging. To be clear, I don’t use the same Series 9 on my face and body because, well, that’s nasty (you don’t want to be exchanging bacteria all across your body and face like that). To be ridiculous, I have two Series 9 trimmers: one for my face and one for my body—and I can confirm it works just as effectively for each.
So, no matter what type of wet trimming you’re looking to accomplish, there is no better tool out there. The charging dock is sturdy and convenient, and the hard-shell travel case is durable without being heavy, making it easy to toss in a carry-on.

Pros
- Excellent price
- Long-lasting replaceable blades
- Versatile design works for facial and body hair
Cons
- Not suitable for long beards
What if I told you you could get the best beard trimmer for short beards, the best electric razor for maintaining stubble, and the best body groomer for sensitive skin for barely $50? That would seem like an insane value—and it’s exactly what’s happening here.
The OneBlade is one of the most versatile devices in my grooming arsenal. It’s hard to pinpoint the design: Is it a trimmer? Is it an electric shaver? Is it a motorized safety razor? Is it a hobbit-sized Swiffer Sweeper? It doesn’t matter because it’s effective as them all, whether you live in the Shire or not.
The unique dual-sided rectangular blade head shaves and trims while being ideal for detailing. Sure, it won’t get you completely bald, but that’s not really the aim here. With three attachments, including one that’s adjustable from 1 to 5 mm, this trimmer can handle any trimming you throw at it.
Plus, it’s lightweight and grippy, so you won’t have to worry about dropping it or maneuvering around tricky areas on your body while in the shower. For an extra $20, you can get the souped-up OneBlade Pro with additional length options, but I prefer the value here.

Pros
- 20 different length options
- LED battery indicator
- Charges with USB-C cable
- Travel case included
Cons
- Only one length guard
What I love about Manscaped is that the brand doesn’t get caught up with flashy specs that sound great in an ad, but rarely offer much in practice. Instead, its products are focused on simply being effective and fixing the things that drive guys crazy whenever they’re grooming.
Sure, this sleek, compact trimmer combines a 7,200 RPM motor with an angled cutting blade designed to lift and efficiently cut through thick or longer hair. But it accomplishes this all with a single attachment that provides 20 adjustable cutting lengths.
This way, you won’t be swapping out various guards while you’re trimming, and, most importantly, you won’t have to worry about storing all of those accessories. Speaking of, this trimmer charges via USB-C, so when you travel, you don’t need to bring a separate Manscaped charger that just takes up more space in your bag.

Pros
- Versatile blade
- Ergonomic design
- Great for reaching tricky areas on the body
Cons
- The shortest battery life on this list
This device has been listed as our best overall body groomer for years—and for good reason. It’s designed for full-body grooming with 12 cutting lengths that are easily adjustable by a small dial. But what really separates this tool from other body groomers is its distinctive V-shaped blade head that creates an ergonomic wand-style design.
While it can take a second to get used to, once you’re familiar with the shape, it makes reaching difficult areas easy with impressive precision. Plus, the V-shaped blade offers multi-directional cutting, allowing you to move it back and forth for quick trimming in multiple directions.

Pros
- Specifically designed for the pubic area
- Special comb attachment protects delicate skin
- SkinFirst blade technology helps prevent nicks and cuts
Cons
- Handle can feel slick when in the shower
If your main objective with in-shower grooming is trimming your pubes, then this is the tool for you. Designed specifically for groin grooming, this trimmer features closely spaced blades that help reduce snagging and a skin-protecting attachment that keeps the blades farther from delicate skin. Its specialized design helps minimize cuts and irritation while delivering a close trim. To be clear, this is designed solely for pubic hair, so don’t buy this if you’re looking for something to trim up your beard in the shower.

Pros
- Lightweight
- Easy to grip and hold
- Ceramic blades help prevent cuts and irritation
Cons
- May need to go over some areas more than once
Taking a blade in any capacity to your body for the first time, especially around the groin, can be a frightening task. Meridian eases much of that anxiety with a device that minimizes the biggest and most common concerns: tugging and burning. Similar to Manscaped, this trimmer uses ceramic blades that reduce heat, unlike stainless steel blades, which can get pretty hot when the motor’s been running for a few minutes. They’re also gentler on skin, limiting tugging, irritation, and nicks.
The pack only includes two length guards, which helps simplify the situation. The device is also one of the most affordable effective body groomers you’ll find, so if you’re not sure you’re ready to commit to regular body grooming, you won’t have to invest much to give it a try.

Remember what I said about Manscaped nailing the simple stuff? The same is true here with a nose hair trimmer that’s USB-C chargeable, lightweight, compact, powerful, and gentle. The one major flashy tech feature is a built-in LED spotlight so you can see what you’re aiming at while this thing is in your nose.
The battery lasts for an hour off one charge, and when you consider how quickly this device trims your nose hair (I’m usually done in two to three minutes), you’ll barely have to worry about charging it. We’re almost in October, and I think I’ve charged mine three times this year.
