Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark was on the court Wednesday night, leading her team against the Golden State Valkyries at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. However, Clark had to briefly leave the game.

After driving in for a layup in the first half, Clark came up limping. With the star playmaker temporarily sidelined, the Fever were forced to adjust their approach.

In her third season with the Fever, Clark is averaging 20.1 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 7.8 assists per game. Clark only played 13 games for Indiana in the 2025 WNBA campaign, missing a lot of time due to injuries.

Entering Wednesday’s contest against Golden State, Clark was coming back from suffering a back injury. She has career averages of 18.9 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 8.3 assists across 72 career WNBA contests.

At halftime of Wednesday night’s game, the Valkyries led the Fever 40-30. Indiana entered the clash against Golden State sitting in first place in the Eastern Conference with a 14-9 record.

The Fever are a half-game up on the Atlanta Dream and 1.5 games above the Washington Mystics and the New York Liberty.

Before leaving the court, Clark made a pretty pass down the lane to a teammate and also caused a stir by screaming at a referee.
