Anthony Hernandez wanted something to take the edge off during his fight week duties.
In February, Hernandez was stopped by Sean Strickland as his middleweight winning streak came to an end.
A third consecutive main event spot sees ‘Fluffy’ looking to bounce back this weekend in Sacramento, where Hernandez takes on Gregory Rodrigues.
The middleweight contender is focused on the task at hand but recently found his train of thought thrown off before he made an honest admission.

After Sean Strickland and Anthony Hernandez earned each other’s respect inside the Octagon, the two middleweights have been training together in Las Vegas.
‘Fluffy’ was recently asked about the man that ended his winning streak going on to win the 185-pound title for a second time.
Hernandez has no problem admitting that Strickland was better than him on that night and isn’t jealous of his former foe’s success.
However, when making this point in an interview with MMA Junkie, his way of dealing with the parts of fight week that he doesn’t enjoy caught up to him.
“It is what it is… It’s f——… Honestly, I forgot the question, bro. My edibles just started kicking in [laughing]. My interviews earlier were p—— me the f— off and I was just like, I’m doing some edibles, bro. I just took like 100 mg so, my bad. I forgot the question.”

It is recommended by various sources that around 10 mg is a standard dose and is therefore sold in that size commercially.
‘Fluffy’ taking ten times that amount makes it understandable why he may have lost his train of thought when commenting on his return to the Octagon.
Ahead of this weekend, Hernandez recently released a new merchandise collaboration with Full Violence, with his winning streak listed as dates on the ‘Up in Smoke’ world tour.
