The UFC will land in Belgrade for the first time in the promotion’s history, as they tick off another location.
Ever since 2020, UFC fans have been quite critical of the promotion for staying at the Apex for longer than they should have.
In fact, since 2020, 116 events have taken place at the facility, which equates to 42% of all events, with the Apex having recently undergone a makeover to facilitate more fans.
Fortunately for fans, though, the promotion continues to look at new locations they can go to, and this Monday afternoon, it was announced that the UFC will land in Belgrade, Serbia for the first time ever.
If Dana White allowed you to pick a new location for a UFC event, where would you pick?🏖️
The UFC continues to land in new locations, but there are still some popular destinations left.

Fans predict Uros Medic vs Leon Edwards for announced UFC Belgrade event
Since the beginning of the promotion, they have held events across Europe, with London becoming one of the main markets for the UFC over the last decade.
And with fans continue to call for the promotion to visit new cities across the continent, they have finally announced their debut event in Serbia, which will take place on August 1 at the Belgrade Arena.
Despite the delight amongst fans, it comes as somewhat of a surprise considering the lack of Serbian talent currently in the premier promotion.
Uros Medic currently stands as the highest ranked Serbian fighter on the roster, occupying spot 13.
Following his recent win over Geoff Neal at UFC Houston, ‘The Doctor’ called for a fight against the former welterweight champion Leon Edwards next.
And with ‘Rocky’ coming off the back of three losses in a row, fans have predicted that that’ll be the main event Serbian fans are presented with in their debut event.
“Edwards vs Medic. That might be the headliner. Or just Medic against even (Daniel Rodriguez),” one fan predicted.
“Medic flatlining Edwards in the main event will be cinema,” another fan commented.
“Edwards vs Medic, book it,” another fan implored the promotion.
Daniel Rodriguez recently claimed that he has a fight booked against Edwards to take place at UFC 329, however, there has been no confirmation from the UFC as of yet.
Aleksandar Rakic also represents Serbia in the cage and it is likely that because of his name value, he will be included on the card.
Despite it being a new location, some fans aren’t too pleased with UFC Belgrade, asking for some other locations to be considered.
“Going anywhere but where current champions are from,” another fan said.
“Should have come to Tirana. There are four Albanian fighters in the UFC, why not Tirana?” another fan asked.
“I’d expect this s— from ONE Championship not the UFC. Should of went to Poland, Spain or even Scotland,” a sixth angry fan commented.
