Rechsteiner impressed enough to earn a spot on the Saints roster.
The New Orleans Saints have a pretty stacked roster at wide receiver however during last weekend’s minicamp they were impressed enough by one of their tryout players to offer him a contract, signing former Jacksonville State WR Brock Rechsteiner per a report from Nick Underhill.
Rechsteiner played in 39 games for Jacksonville State, bringing in 53 receptions for 629 receiving yards and 7 touchdowns. He previously signed a deal with the WWE NIL (Next in Line) program and also had a workout for the Tennessee Titans before heading to New Orleans last Friday.
Athleticism runs deep in his family as he is also the son for former WWE Hall of Fame wrestler Scott Steiner best known as “Big Poppa Pump.” His uncle Rick Steiner was his father’s tag team partner and his cousin, Bronson Rechsteiner, currently wrestles in the WWE as well.
The Saints currently have 14 wide receivers on their roster after the signing of Rechsteiner.
