We continue our Dallas Cowboys camp prediction series. Today we’ll analyze a group that has had an influx of defensive talent this offseason – the defensive line. On to the prediction.

Prediction: Donovan Ezeiruaku becomes a star in camp

Donovan Ezeiruaku #41 of the Dallas Cowboys

Dallas is looking to replace its sack leader from 2025. Jadeveon Clowney had 8.5 sacks for the Cowboys last year, and it’s not a stretch to think there’s still a void left after Micah Parsons was traded to Green Bay just before Week 1. Enter second-year pro Donovan Ezeiruaku. He’s not on the NFL’s Top 100 list, but after this year, players voting on that list might think differently.

The Boston College product is entering his sophomore season, and expectations are high. Ezeiruaku secured two sacks and one forced fumble in his rookie campaign. Not necessarily impressive numbers, but Ezeiruaku added 26 QB pressures in 2025, meaning his impact was felt regularly by opposing QBs.

Now he’s tasked with replacing lost sack production, and the rotational competition brought by Dallas adding guys like Rashan Gary and Malachi Lawrence on the edge should have Ezeiruaku playing 110% every snap in camp.

With the new defensive identity brought by new DC Christian Parker, the second-year end should blossom, and with his ascension, the defensive line and the defense as a whole can become a unit that opposing teams fear.

What is your prediction for the defensive line at training camp? Who are we overlooking that might break out? Hit the comments and let us know.
