Caitlin Clark has once again made WNBA history, and this time, Nike wasted no time turning the Indiana Fever star’s latest stat explosion into a short, four-word message.

Against the Connecticut Sun on August 28, Caitlin Clark lit up the stat sheet in both points and assists with 34 and 12, respectively, adding five rebounds and three steals while going 12-19 from the field, hitting six threes, and logging a team-best +32 plus/minus. After the game, Nike took to X to celebrate her achievement.

“How to stop@caitlinclark22,” the post read, with a link to the Merriam-Webster dictionary’s definition for ‘impossible.’

The timing for her outing couldn’t be better. Just five days ago, Clark dropped 37 points and 10 assists against the Chicago Sky. According to SportsCenter, Clark is now the first player in league history with consecutive games with 30+ points and 10+ assists, as well as the seventh player to log consecutive 30-point double-doubles.

For the Fever, though, Clark wasn’t the only one to have an explosive scoring night. Her backcourt partner, Kelsey Mitchell, also logged 34 points on a matching 12-for-19 shooting. The duo, who already held the single-season record for each of them scoring 30 points in the same game, extended their record to four.

Clark has continued to push the boundaries of what is possible from a WNBA guard this season. Nike’s ‘impossible’ response makes sense when you look at her season-best 45-point, 10-assist game against the Seattle Storm earlier this season amid a growing collection of broken records.

Clark’s performance follows the reveal of the newest version of her signature sneaker, the Nike Caitlin 1 ‘Friendship Bracelet,’ which was unveiled two days earlier. The shoe, which pays homage to pop star Taylor Swift, features several charms and decorations on the laces for either foot.

“Probably some of the ones that I was the most excited about,” Clark said about the shoes before the game. “Obviously I had the Kobe version, but I feel like these are even better, and it’ll come with some charms that everybody can pick and kind of make your own.”

With their win tonight, the Fever have improved to 26-14 for the season. But it wasn’t all smooth sailing. The Fever trailed by as many as 14 points early before Clark and Mitchell sparked an 18-2 run to close the first half, flipping the game into a 58-43 Indiana lead.

The comeback also nudged Indiana up to fourth in the standings after Atlanta’s loss to Portland the same night. Clark won’t rest long either: she and Aliyah Boston leave for Berlin with Team USA for the FIBA World Cup, as the Fever will head into a three-week-long break and will return on September 18 to face the Toronto Tempo.
