Michael ‘Venom’ Page knew that he needed to prove a point at UFC Paris.
Page has been honest about being frustrated with the UFC for some time due to not receiving the matchups he wants and not getting to stay active.
The creative striker had also admitted not being happy with his performances, with the Brit proving he can win inside the Octagon but lacking finishes.
Page was still interested in re-signing, but doubts that this will be the case now that he’s competed in all the bouts on his contract.

Michael Page puts himself in the UFC’s shoes when talking future with the promotion
Michael ‘Venom’ Page went the distance with Nursulton Ruziboev in what is the final fight on his UFC contract.
It was a fight that felt familiar to how the Brit’s run in the promotion has gone in general.
While he was able to produce some eye-catching strikes and frustrate his opponent, it lacked action at points and was decided by the scorecards.
“They [UFC] weren’t happy with me before, they’re not gonna be happy with me now,” Page told the media when reflecting on his performance.
The former Bellator star still has title aspirations that would make his decision an easy one if the UFC did want to sit down and talk about a new contract.
However, Page understands that from their perspective, this performance didn’t change anything.
“Whether it’s after that performance because it just feels like it’s the same thing. So, if I put myself in their shoes it’s like, same thing. ‘We can sign him again but are we gonna see much more?’”

Michael ‘Venom’ Page believes he would have benefitted from fighting bigger names
Michael ‘Venom’ Page doesn’t believe that it was Nursulton Ruziboev’s style that made him fight defensively on Saturday night.
The Brit believes that it doesn’t matter who you put him in there with, he’ll do the same to them.
Page made the argument that this is why he’s pushed for bigger names because it then makes it more impressive when he’s able to leave them stunned.
It seems like Page got this opportunity when he fought Ian Machado Garry, but after losing that fight, his UFC run took a different turn.
