Max Holloway shows no sign of slowing down as he closes the gap on the record for most UFC fights.
The former featherweight champion and holder of the symbolic BMF title will headline UFC 329 in Las Vegas on Saturday.
Just four months on from his loss to Charles Oliveira, Holloway will welcome Conor McGregor back to action 13 years after they first collided inside the Octagon.
While the Irishman has been away for five years, ‘Blessed’ has been incredibly active, earning him a place on the top 10 list of total fights in the UFC.

Max Holloway will move closer to the UFC record for total fights against Conor McGregor
Since McGregor knocked out Eddie Alvarez in November 2016 to become the first simultaneous two-division champion in UFC history, the Irishman has fought just four times.
That has resulted in a mind-boggling activity gulf between ‘The Notorious’ and his opponent in the July 11 main event.
Holloway has competed a mammoth 17 times in the same timeframe, earning him a sizable favorite status over the returning McGregor at UFC 329.
That tally of fights across the past decade has extended Holloway’s total UFC figure to 32, a number that very few have had the success and longevity to reach on MMA’s biggest stage.
‘Blessed’ is tied 10th on the all-time list alongside Derrick Lewis, Edson Barboza, Michael Johnson, Dustin Poirier, and Diego Sanchez.
As soon as round one starts on Saturday night, Holloway will move above those five legends and share the ninth spot with Demian Maia.

From there, Holloway will be below a number of other prominent names, including his most recent opponent, Oliveira, on 37 total fights.
The Hawaiian would do well to challenge the category’s leader. Even after UFC 329, he will still be 14 fights behind equaling Jim Miller’s total of 47 UFC outings.
The 42-year-old is also still adding to that tally and plans to stick around long enough to fight on the UFC 400 card.
