Ailin Perez ready to replace post-surgery Kayla Harrison or ‘older’ Amanda Nunes at UFC 334
Less than two months before the women’s bantamweight title is on the line for the first time in 2026, two of the division’s top five contenders will collide.
A grudge match between bitter rivals Norma Dumont and Ailin Perez is set to co-headline this Saturday’s UFC Vegas 121 event at the Meta Apex.
Perez is planning to get one over the No. 2-ranked contender to extend her winning streak to seven, and the Argentine already knows what she wants next.
“I feel ready, and not just to fight for the belt, but also to be the backup,” Perez told Hablemos MMA in Spanish.
“I’m ready to replace Kayla or Amanda should the UFC need someone in November.
“Kayla is coming off a neck surgery, and Amanda is older now,” she continued. “What happens is someone gets hurt in the weight cut, or something happens.
“Ailin Perez will be ready.”

Before looking ahead to the possibility of weighing in this November ahead of UFC 334, ‘Fiona’ must first get the job done against Dumont.
That bout sets the stage for Saturday’s bantamweight main event between Raul Rosas Jr. and Raoni Barcelos.
