Josh Hokit’s White House tease did not deliver what the fans were hoping for.
The surging heavyweight contender has certainly made a splash since arriving in the UFC.
That was most recently the case at UFC 327 in Miami, where Hokit beat Curtis Blaydes in a classic to stay unbeaten in the Octagon and earn a top five ranking.
It also netted ‘The Incredible Hok’ a spot on the White House card against Derrick Lewis this June. Some, though, thought an even bigger assignment was awaiting him in Washington D.C. after a recent tease.

Josh Hokit disappoints fans after revealing UFC White House sponsor partnership
The rumor mill was sent swirling after Hokit promised a major UFC White House announcement on Saturday night.
There was subsequently talk of a new matchup, with some speculating that the American would be fighting Alex Pereira for the interim heavyweight title after Ciryl Gane pulled out.
That turned out to be completely false, with Hokit instead revealing that he has partnered with a trading company ahead of the event on June 14.
It is safe to say that fans were not happy with what the announcement turned out to be.
“Those fake MMA pages said Gane vs Poatan fell off for this (crying emoji).”
“So he’s a big sellout?”
“Slightly let down that this was the announcement…”
“Loser. We thought you were fighting Poatan.”
“Is this it?!”
“We thought it was gonna be a new opponent.”
“This WWE now? What happened to the UFC?”

Hokit will be facing ex-title challenger Lewis in the fourth fight of the night on the White House lawn.
The matchup was a late addition to the card that came together after United States President Donald Trump questioned Dana White about ‘The Black Beast’s’ absence on the lineup.
‘The Incredible Hok’ was the beneficiary of that, and he will look to make the most of another prominent spotlight in the UFC, no doubt by stirring up more controversy with his polarizing character and brash comments on the microphone.
