Ahead of his upcoming title fight, Josh Hokit is continuing to build his feud with fellow contender ‘Poatan’.
‘The Incredible Hok’ is less than one month out from challenging for heavyweight title glory in just his fifth fight under the UFC banner.
After standout wins over Curtis Blaydes and Derrick Lewis in 2026, Hokit will challenge Ciryl Gane at UFC 334 inside Madison Square Garden.
Despite ‘Bon Gamin’ being the man currently in the way of his championship ambitions, it is another heavyweight receiving the brunt of Hokit’s trash talk online.

How much has your opinion of Alex Pereira changed since his UFC Freedom 250 loss?

Josh Hokit insists Alex Pereira is ‘spoiled’ — and here’s the evidence
Before the UFC announced their plans for heavyweight, Pereira was calling for either a rematch with Gane or a grudge match with Hokit.
He has received neither and will instead battle Sergei Pavlovich at UFC 335 in December.
Pereira has complained about Gane vs Hokit, even accusing Daniel Cormier of pushing an agenda for that matchup to happen.
‘Poatan’s’ complaining, which started with Herb Dean’s refereeing performance at UFC Freedom 250, has turned some fans against him. UFC legend Henry Cejudo recently described the Brazilian as “spoiled” amid his public frustrations.
After seeing Chael Sonnen downplay that label, Hokit backed Cejudo’s claim and insisted that the term perfectly describes his heavyweight rival.
“Alex is not spoiled? lol,” Hokit wrote on X before listing his proof that Pereira is.
“-Highest paid fighter on the roster not named Conor.
“-Never had to face a real wrestler.
“-Gets a title shot in a weight class that he had never previously competed in.
“-Complains he doesn’t get rematch in said weight class after being destroyed.”

For now, Hokit will need to focus on unseating Gane from the throne to complete a fast rise from Dana White’s Contender Series prospect to heavyweight champion.
If ‘The Incredible Hok’ is successful, it will be down to ‘Poatan’ to then set up their grudge match for 2027 by recording his first win in the division at Pavlovich’s expense on December 12.
