Khabib Nurmagomedov may have highlighted Magomed Zaynukov’s mistakes, but very few are looking for the same level of perfection inside the Octagon.

Joe Rogan was one of many who saw Zaynukov’s first win inside the Octagon as one of the standouts from the card, as his fellow UFC commentator revealed.
When recapping the card, Jon Anik seemingly shared what his broadcast partner had to say when reacting to the event after it had taken place.
“I thought this was a real standout performance,” Anik said on his podcast. “‘This kid is an absolute beast’, Joe Rogan texted the group this morning. The elbows and everything else. Long range weapons. Confidence. Conditioning. Just a tremendous performance.”

At 31 years old, Zaynukov has put together a 9-0 run, which includes his UFC contract-winning bout against Lucas Caldas last October.
One potential concern regarding the Russian was that he was controlled for over five minutes by Poland’s Damian Rzepecki.
Despite this, he was still able to capitalize when given space to strike, having outlanded his opponent 74-16 in significant strikes.
