Who is the greatest heavyweight boxer of all time?
Jared Anderson withdraws due to injury
Jared Anderson was supposed to make his Queensberry Promotions debut on the card headlined by Fabio Wardley and Daniel Dubois.
The 18-1 American heavyweight had been booked to fight Solomon Dacres (10-1) in the co-main event of the evening.
On Saturday, rumors began circulating about Anderson withdrawing from the contest due to an injury.
It’s believed that the 26-year-old suffered a torn bicep while training for his upcoming fight with Dacres.
Queensberry Promotions confirmed Anderson is out of the fight in a social media statement on Sunday.
It was also revealed that a replacement co-main event will be announced in the next 24 hours.
“Due to an injury sustained in camp, Jared Anderson is out of his scheduled bout with Solomon Dacres on the Don’t Blink card in Manchester on 9th May,” Queensberry Promotions said.
“A replacement co-main fight will be announced tomorrow, and we look forward to Jared making his Queensberry debut later this year.”
