The Ducks announced their 2026-27 season-opening roster. Anaheim’s roster includes 12 Ducks draft selections, eight free agent signings and five trade acquisitions, in addition to 19 players that featured for Anaheim last season in the regular season or Stanley Cup Playoffs. The roster includes 16 forwards, seven defensemen and two goaltenders.
Anaheim’s season-opening roster features five of the club’s first-round picks, one each from the last five drafts: Nikita Klepov (15th overall in 2026), Roger McQueen (10th overall in 2025), Beckett Sennecke (third overall in 2024), Leo Carlsson (second overall in 2023), Pavel Mintyukov (10th overall in 2022). In addition, three other first-round selections make up the roster, including Cutter Gauthier (fifth overall by Philadelphia in 2022), Ryan Poehling (25th overall by Montreal in 2017) and Mikael Granlund (ninth overall by Minnesota in 2010).
Three Ducks free agent signings from the offseason highlight the roster, including left wing A.J. Greer, left wing Jeff Malott and defenseman Nick Jensen.
Anaheim’s roster includes seven players 22-and-younger: Klepov (18), McQueen (19), Sennecke (20), Carlsson (21), Gauthier (22), Tristan Luneau (22) and Mintyukov (22).
Troy Terry (hip surgery) was placed on Injured Non-Roster and defenseman Ian Moore has been placed on Injured Reserve.
Anaheim begins its 2026-27 regular season on the road Friday, Oct. 2 at the Vegas Golden Knights (7 p.m. PT, Watch: Prime Video or FOX Los Angeles + (channel 13 KCOP); Listen: Ducks Stream). Prior to finalizing the club’s season-opening roster, defenseman Travis Mitchell and goaltender Laurent Brossoit were assigned to the San Diego Gulls, Anaheim’s primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).
