Dana White isn’t going to stop praising Jon Jones as the greatest despite the former champion’s public UFC complaints.
The former UFC heavyweight and light heavyweight champion looks to have wrapped up his legendary career inside the Octagon, but not by choice.
Jones was denied a UFC White House fight by the promotion’s president, who described the Rochester native as too unreliable to be placed in such a spot.
That led to a public disagreement about how negotiations played out, but that has not impacted how White sees Jones and his tenure in the organization.

Dana White lauds Jon Jones with Michael Jordan comparison despite hostile end to his UFC career
Jones requested his UFC release after claiming to have been given a ‘lowball’ offer to compete in Washington D.C. on June 14. But the UFC president denies ever entertaining the prospect of him fighting at the White House.
‘Bones’ did not appreciate being called a liar and has since been publicly announcing his desire to escape his contract.
Jones’ UFC exit talk got more serious recently after he requested the details of Tyron Woodley’s lawyer, Sam Spira, who believes he could be of assistance in the matter.
But all of that has not changed how White views Jones’ fighting achievements, as evidenced by his remarks during a recent interview with The New Yorker.
“If you’re looking for your Michael Jordan, it would be Jon Jones, who is the greatest,” White said.
“Jon Jones is in his forties now. He’s undefeated still, never been beat. And he’s moved up and down weight classes.
“It is very, very unique and hard to be undefeated in the UFC,” he added.

In addition to targeting a long-awaited clash with Francis Ngannou outside of the UFC, Jones has also teased a boxing venture.
The UFC legend recently revealed he expects to have conversations with IBA president Umar Kremlev in Russia about entering the ring if he can find a way out of his current deal.
