Carlos Prates is feeling supremely confident ahead of the biggest fight of his life.

The #5-ranked UFC welterweight contender will face ex-champion Jack Della Maddalena on Saturday.

However, Carlos Prates is already thinking about what’ll happen after he wins the UFC Perth main event.

Carlos Prates wants a front row seat at UFC 330

Welterweight champion Islam Makhachev is expected to defend his belt at UFC 330 on August 15.

Nothing’s official, but all signs point to Khabib Nurmagomedov‘s teammate facing Ian Machado Garry this summer.

Carlos Prates should be next in line to face the winner of that fight after UFC Perth.

The heavy-handed Brazilian believes he will breeze past Jack Della Maddalena, whom he recently categorized as ‘easy,’ while predicting a knockout win during a pre-fight interview.

“Regardless of who it is, I will be there in the front row keeping an eye on my title shot and to challenge the champion,” Prates told Nicolas Henrique.

“I believe that the next one to compete for the belt will be me, obviously, by beating Maddalena.

“I’m in no hurry. In 2027, for sure, I’ll have the belt.”

Who else is fighting at UFC Perth?

Jack Della Maddalena vs. Carlos Prates will headline a stacked 12-fight card in Australia.

Fan favorites Beneil Dariush, Tai Tuivasa, and Shamil Gaziev will all compete at UFC Perth.
