New Orleans Saints head coach Kellen Moore revealed that a hamstring injury sustained recently by DE Cam Jordan will keep the pass rusher out for an extended period of time and could extend into the start of the regular season.
Although the exact type of injury Jordan suffered with his hamstring has yet to be announced, a recent social media post from the defensive end seems to be a positive sign that it was not severe.
The Saints’ defensive line has already had its fair share of injuries throughout training camp, including Bryan Bresee out for the year with a torn ACL, John Ridgeway dealing with a back injury, and Davon Godchaux with an ankle issue.
With less than five weeks remaining until the regular season opener in Detroit, the injury bug has undoubtedly taken a toll on the Saints roster. It will be up to the coaching staff and reserve players to step up and fill voids on the depth chart.
