Fans aren’t sold on how Conor McGregor will fare at UFC 329 due to his size.
McGregor has been praised for returning from an injury that he suffered inside the Octagon that could have ended his career.
Coming back from a five-year lay-off raises a lot of questions regarding how ‘The Notorious’ will look on July 11 when he competes at welterweight.
Max Holloway isn’t concerned about the weight class, and while his opponent may have an advantage over him in this area, fans don’t necessarily see it that way.

Can Conor McGregor 🇮🇪 overcome a five-year layoff to beat Max Holloway again?

Fans convinced Conor McGregor’s cardio won’t hold up due to his size heading into UFC 329
A recent post from ginger_beard_photos on Instagram gave fans a glimpse at Conor McGregor’s physique just weeks out from his UFC return.
While ‘The Notorious’ does have experience competing in this weight class, Max Holloway is known as a cardio machine and that won’t change with him moving up to welterweight.
Many fans took one look at McGregor’s impressive physique heading into UFC 329 and raised the same concern: whether his gas tank will hold up if he can’t finish the fight early.
‘Too much show no go. Added mass on top of lungs and a heart that couldn’t sustain as it was. Big mistake,’ one fan wrote on X.

How high would Conor McGregor beating Max Holloway at UFC 329 rank among the best returns?

Various comments expressed the same opinion, with comments like ‘TOO BIG. He’ll gas out’ and ‘Wayyy too big. Gonna gas out’ filling the replies.
‘Gas tank gonna be an issue. Max is a volume puncher and a cardio machine’ commented one user, highlighting how this potential issue could play into the strengths of ‘Blessed’.
McGregor has known for a lot longer than Holloway that his next fight would be at welterweight and adding to his power with additional size and muscle could give him an advantage.
However, that extra size will also impact his cardio, which one fan highlighted when commenting, ‘It’s the gas tank that matters, not the shape’.
‘Conor always looks like a Greek god that’s never the issue although for a knock out artist he’s carrying a lot of muscle’ added another user.
