The California State Athletic Commission has released the full fight night weight figures.

Khamzat Chimaev’s weight cut became a huge talking point after he lost his UFC middleweight title and undefeated record on May 9.

Fortunately for Most Valuable Promotions, nothing similar occurred ahead of their first foray into putting on MMA events.

While he’s not known for being an especially big welterweight, Nate Diaz, who weighed the lowest he has in a decade for his return to the cage, put on 16 pounds by the time he made the walk at the Intuit Dome.

Nate Diaz gaining 16 pounds by fight night overshadowed by Namo Fazil’s huge 27 pound jump

On Monday, MMA Fighting reported the full list of fight night weights that were released by the California State Athletic Commission.

Not every commission chooses to release figures like this but CSAC go through this process in order to try and prevent fighters from risking their health in huge cuts.

This didn’t prevent Nate Diaz from gaining 16 pounds between his weigh-in and fight night, though he had only the third biggest gain out of the fighters on the card.

While Jefferson Creighton only put on 0.4 pounds more than Diaz, Namo Fazil climbed a staggering 27.2 pounds after stepping on the scales for his welterweight bout.

See the full list of fight night weights listed below:

  • Ronda Rousey: 142 to 143 pounds (1 pound), 1%

  • LATEST NEWS: ‘I trained with Gina Carano’… Merab Dvalishvili is stunned by Ronda Rousey’s rapid comeback win

The aforementioned Fazil is set to fight on Dana White’s Contender Series after submitting Jake Babian at the Intuit Dome this past weekend.

He said that while he doesn’t know who he’s fighting yet, he has officially signed to compete for a UFC contract on August 11.

The other notable number to look at in these figures is that Ronda Rousey only gained one pound before stepping in the cage, which isn’t something you see frequently in the sport today.

Aside from the heavyweights that shared the card with her, ‘Rowdy’ was a clear outlier in this sense.
