
Voice actors Gakuto Kajiwara and Marina Yamada announced their marriage through a joint statement on their respective X (formerly Twitter) accounts on Wednesday.
“We apologize for the personal nature of the announcement, but we, Gakuto Kajiwara and Marina Yamada have gotten married, and are expecting our first child,” they wrote. “We are still inexperienced, but we want to cherish each day, supporting each other as a family, while holding hands together during the limited time we have in life.”
They concluded by expressing gratitude to everyone who has supported them, writing, “We will continue to work even harder so we can give back to everyone who supported us, so we hope everyone will continue to warmly watch over us.” The couple also announced the birth of their first child.
Kajiwara is best known for his role as Asta in Black Clover. His other notable roles include Shinra Kusakabe from Enen no Shouboutai (Fire Force), Hitohito Tadano in Komi-san wa, Comyushou desu. (Komi Can’t Communicate), and Junta Hayami in Romantic Killer. He won the Best New Actor award at 14th Seiyuu Awards in 2020.
Yamada is a former second generation member of the idol group HKT48. She debuted as a voice actor as Pino in Jashin-chan Dropkick (Dropkick On My Devil!) in 2018. She also appeared as Suiu Fujiwara in Rikei ga Koi ni Ochita no de Shoumei shitemita. Heart (Science Fell in Love, So I Tried to Prove It r=1-sinθ).
