Fortnite X Sonic Collab “To Be Continued”

Epic’s free-to-play battle royale Fortnite appears to be expanding on its in-game collab with the Sonic the Hedgehog series. As part of the blue blur’s ongoing 35th anniversary celebrations, Sega shared a new teaser trailer for Fortnite x Sonic during its Club Chaos livestream.

In it, you can see what looks to be…spoiler alert…Metal Sonic, and the trailer ends with “to be continued”. The red eyes briefly appear around the 11-second mark in the video above (via Sonic Stadium). No other details have been shared just yet, so when we hear more, we’ll provide an update.

Sonic and his friends originally joined Fortnite’s ‘Override’ season in August 2026. The character Metal Sonic is also appearing in the upcoming live-action movie Sonic the Hedgehog 4 as well as the new 35th anniversary animated short Memories and Beyond, arriving later this year.

Have you played as Sonic in Fortnite yet? What do you think of this collab so far? Let us know in the comments.
