The third-generation framework will run for four years, with an option to extend for another two, covering public sector building projects across the region.

Acivico, owned by Birmingham City Council, is leading procurement alongside Solihull and Sandwell councils.

Six major works contractors have been selected for the £1.3bn top lot, with Galliford Try, Morgan Sindall and Willmott Dixon renewing while Kier, Vinci and Wates secure places for the first time.

Graham and McLaren were the two unsuccessful bidders for the major works lot.

The tender attracted 36 bids across three lots, with 16 unsuccessful submissions.
