Lookin’ good!
Our video producer Alex recently jetted off to Gamecom and, as intended, played a whole bunch of games. One of these was the upcoming Switch 2 port of 007 First Light, which is making its way to the console later this year.
The above video contains over-the-shoulder footage of the game running on Switch 2 via docked mode, and it’s looking pretty tasty indeed. Alex came away feeling impressed, stating that the 30fps target was being met for the most part, while the visuals were decent despite some understandable downgrades.
It’s just nice to see it running on Switch 2 at all though, to be honest. A part of us wondered if the initial delay on the platform would eventually lead to a complete cancellation, but with First Light being playable at Gamescom, it seems we can put our faith in IO Interactive to potentially delivery something special.
Alex also managed to record some footage of The Witcher III: Wild Hunt – Remastered in handheld form, so be sure to check that out if you’ve not done so already. It’s looking wonderful, and it’s out in less than a month. Bosh.
Are you excited to play 007 First Light on Switch 2? What do you make of this gameplay footage? Let us know with a comment.
