Call to address fraud in food security programs

Experts have voiced concerns about food fraud in food security programs and suggested ways to combat the problem.

A report made several recommendations including penalizing and discouraging food fraud practices, greenwashing and misleading claims or labels by requiring businesses to verify claims about how products were cultivated, grown, processed and packaged.
