The building, near Hammersmith Underground, was designed by Sir John Burnet Tait & Partners and built in 1949. It will be converted into a hotel by a multidisciplinary team including GRID Architects, QuinnRoss, FRAME Structural Engineers, Affinity Fire Engineering, RBA Acoustics, Tetra Tech transport consultants and Fortis Facades, with Legendre UK acting as lead contractor.
The 6,500sq m scheme will deliver 171 hotel rooms, a 131-seat auditorium and a range of amenities for both guests and the wider community.
