It’s now June, and the third week of OTAs is underway, yet Cam Jordan remains a free agent.

New Orleans Saints general manager Mickey Loomis has stated that there is still an offer on the table for Jordan. That is good news for Saints fans, and it shows that the front office continues to remain interested in bringing the franchise legend back for another season.

Recently, Chase Young appeared on The Insiders with Ian Rapoport and expressed his support for Cam Jordan returning to the team. Jordan went as far as reposting the clip and sharing a photo of the defense celebrating during a game from this past season.

Clearly, there are still strong feelings between Jordan and the organization. However, the financial terms may not be exactly what 36-year-old is looking for at this stage of his career.

Fortunately, there is still a role available for Jordan on the roster as the Saints need to address the edge position opposite Chase Young and find a consistent source of pressure off the edge. While the team has added young talent, Jordan’s experience, leadership, and production could still provide value to the defense.

The city wants to see Cam return. The players want to see Cam return. And Saints fans continue to wonder why he has not yet signed a new deal.

Hopefully, this situation is resolved soon, and Cam Jordan is back wearing black and gold, doing his signature “Levels” celebration after sacking Michael Penix Jr. or Tua against the Falcons.
