Talk about flying the Coop. Last season on Your Friends & Neighbors, which returns April 3 on Apple TV, Jon Hamm‘s Andrew “Coop” Cooper commits to his secret lifestyle as a serial robber even after getting his cushy job back. In the finale, Coop ditches Jack on a big business trip to Switzerland to steal a painting from his house, proving Coop simply can’t be the man he used to be. He’s someone else now.
“We wanted to see that there’s been an evolution for Coop,” said creator Jonathan Tropper in an interview with Esquire last year. “All this time he spent breaking into houses, breaking the law, breaking the social contract, have actually emboldened him and given him an edge that might actually serve him well.”
After a short year away, fans will catch up with Coop and the fallout of his betrayal—to say nothing of brand-new problems headed his way—when Your Friends & Neighbors returns for its second season on April 3.
In Your Friends & Neighbors, Hamm stars as a hedge-fund manager who is fired from his firm after a weekend fling with a subordinate. He spends most of the season robbing houses to maintain his wealthy lifestyle, only to stumble upon a huge murder mystery.
Season 2, which begins streaming on Apple TV on April 3, picks up with Coop having struck a balance between being a wealthy family man and being a domestic burglar. But he faces a new adversary in Owen Ashe (James Marsden), who learns Coop’s secret—and blackmails him to help him out, or else.
